William F. MacAdam
William “Bill” Francis MacAdam, former resident of Haena, died at his home in Lafayette, California on June 5, 2012 at the age of 79. Bill was born in Media Pennsylvania, on January 23, 1933. He was a commander in the United States Navy and was Range Operations Officer at PMRF Barking Sands from 1970 to 1975. He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina; and his sister, Joyce.
Bill is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Constance) MacAdam of Lafayette, California; Stuart (Christine) MacAdam of Adelaide, South Australia; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Samuel, Alex, and Bonnie.
His family will come together at Haena in July 2013 to celebrate his life and scatter his ashes into the sea.
Al Beralas
Al Beralas of Lihue died at home on August 21, 2012, at the age of 89. He was born in Bagued, Abra, Philippines on January 12, 1923, retired as a tractor driver with Lihue Sugar Plantation and was a US Army Veteran of WWII with the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Juliana; and son, Clayton.
He is survived by two sons, Allan Beralas and Ronald Beralas, both of Lihue; three daughters, Ginger (Hank) Soboleski of Kapaa, Yolanda (Dennis) Yacavone of Oahu, Debra (Frenchie) DeGracia of Lihue; brother, Domingo (Cris) Beralas of Hanamaulu; sisters, Maggie Galardo of Hanamaulu, Monica (Urong) Ragudo of California; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8;00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Beralas family with arrangements.
Desmond Mundon
Desmond Dwight Mundon of Kapaa, Kauai, died on August 15, 2012 at the age of 36. He was born on September 3, 1975 in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was a laborer and landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Punani Lee Mundon; sons, Quinten Mundon, Leeland Planas, and Levi Mundon; daughters, Khloey and Leeani Mundon; parents, James and Cynthia Mundon; brothers, Jim (Kelsey) Mundon, Gavin (Jessica) Mundon, and Chris (Sherlynn) Mundon; sisters, Gaylene (Tyrus) Mundon, Crystal (Cullen) Mundon, and Shana (Michael) Mundon-Dasalia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation at 10:00 am. Service to begin at 11:30 am.
Family suggests casual attire and flowers are welcome.
A Celebration of his life will be held on September 2, 2012 at Kalapaki Beach Park at 11:00 am. Arrangements by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Josefa Ledesma Roduit
Josefa Ledesma Roduit, long-time resident of Kekaha, Hawaii, died at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home on August 21, 2012 at the age of 95. She was born on January 3, 1917 in Kekaha, Hawaii and was a retired school teacher with the State of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Dolores Torres Ledesma; her husband, Emil “Spike” Roduit; and her brother and sister-in-law, Francis “Sico” and Rose Martin Ledesma.
She is survived by her sister Minnie (Philip) Krinsky of Florida; nephews, Keith (Gail) Krinsky, Dann (Sharon) Krinsky, both of Florida, Brian (Michele) Krinsky of Ohio, David (Diana) Ledesma of Washington and nieces and caretakers through the years, Cheryl Ledesma and Jennifer Rose Salazar of Hanapepe and Washington; grand-nieces, Brooke Krinsky and Rebecca Krinsky of Florida, Callie (Brett) Nelson and Christa Jo Ledesma of Washington, and Alexis Krinsky of California; grand-nephews, Jason (McKenna) Ledesma of Washington, Adam Krinsky of Florida and Philip Krinsky of Ohio; great-grand nieces Berkeley, Lauren and Kennedy Rose Ledesma of Washington and great-grand nephew, Mason Krinsky of Florida; and several cousins.
