LIHU‘E — Two men injured over the weekend remain hospitalized.
According to a Kaua‘i County spokesperson, a 15-year-old teen is in critical condition at Queen’s Medical Center, after reportedly falling 30 feet from a ridge near Ho‘opi‘i Falls in Kapahi Sunday afternoon.
The Kapa‘a teen was reportedly riding bikes with a friend when he fell at approximately 2:41 p.m.
He was airlifted to waiting medics who transferred the teen from Kapahi Park to Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
In addition, an injured hiker is now reported as being in guarded condition at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, according to the county.
The 62-year-old Kapa‘a man was airlifted from the Na Pali Coast late Sunday morning, after reportedly slipping and sustaining a head injury about 1⁄4 mile from Hanakapi‘ai Beach.
