LIHU‘E – On Sept. 8, you can not only take to one street, you can eat it too. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. a fundraising event is taking place to benefit Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School in Lihu‘e.
The Saturday occasion, which will partake in child-friendly outdoor events providing live entertainment, games, live music and local products for sale, is due to become a monthly celebration.
“We do not have large events on Saturday nights where the entire family can participate,” said Jody McCune, Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Parent Community Networking Center facilitator and one of the event organizers.
Eat the Street CKMS is a new community happening meant to benefit Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School through fundraising.
More than 10 food truck vendors, offering delicacies from Paco’s Tacos, Hanalei Carol and The Right Slice, will offer great food for everyone to enjoy an evening of fun. The event is free to attend.
