Jane Gray, director of the Kaua‘i Museum, provided guests with an unexpected surprise as she joined Lei Aiu Taber of the Queen Lili‘uokalani Children’s Center in the rendering of a Queen Lili‘uokalani composition Saturday during the E Ola Mau ‘O Lili‘uokalani tribute to the queen on the occasion of the queen’s birthday.
What a great way to celebrate na keiki as Dale Keep of Pack 270 was joined by Paul Curtis, Ulu Perreira and Nelson Secretario in hosting the Cub Olympics at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.
Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. was so impressed with the job of these Boy Scout leaders, he’s trying to figure out how adults can get involved in similar games.
Calvin Paleka was not even winded from the Friday night football game, and Joshua Herr’s mom opted to take care of the Cub Scouts instead of getting to the cross country meet (mahalo to Manny Henriques for sending along some pictures).
And kudos to Marionette Taboniar, Patrice Pendarvis and all the Women Artists of Kaua‘i on a great exhibition and sale to help Nana’s House and Hale Ho‘omalu!
