Mahalo to Tracy Tucker for the heads up on the Hawai‘i Section Kaua‘i Fall Jr. Open tennis matches taking place at the Po‘ipu Kai Tennis Courts.
Tracy was checking out the Lawa‘i Cannery garage sale (kudos to Lorna Santos on another great event!) while Carolyn Lum-Tucker was helping at the tennis matches.
Kudos to the coach Chad Delanoza and all those Waimea High School girls volleyball players who had a busy weekend starting with their game at Kapa‘a Friday and ending with the garage sale where they were perfect hostesses to the many shoppers.
Melia Okura said her dad was helping with the parking since he does that for bon dances and her mom was busy in the “kitchen.” Sharmaine Simao is already looking ahead to the Lights on Rice holiday parade (their float is going to be a doozey) and it’s not a garage sale unless Stel Pimental is there.
Happy birthday to Val Rynda who celebrated this weekend. She said the cars were parked all the way up her street for the garage sale, and Ron Wood is “volunteering” to have a body on the air at FM97 on the weekends.
