Alphons Schornack
Alphons (John) J. Schornack, of Wahiawa, Hawai‘i, died on August 9, 2012 in Wahiawa at the age of 75. Born in Indonesia on June 20, 1937, he was a veteran in the U.S. Army and was a retired engineer.
He is survived by wife, Lydia Schornack; sons, Richard Schornack, Alan Ross and Isaac Ross; daughters, Brenda Haggerty, Tanya Schornack and Michelle Shofner; brother, Wally Schornack; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on September 7, 2012 at Kaua‘i Veterans Center, 3215 Kapula Hwy., Lihue, Kaua‘i. Visitation at 3:00 pm.
Service at 4 pm. Family requests no flowers and casual attire. Arrangements are being handled by Ultimate Cremation Services of Hawai‘i, Honolulu.

Kaumaka Keoni Apana of Pahoa, Hawaii passed away on April 9, 2012 at his residence in Pahoa at the age of 35. Born on February 14, 1977 in Lihue, Hawaii, he was a sales clerk.
He is survived by his father, Duane J. Apana, Sr. of Pahoa; mother, Esther P. Telles of Pahoa; brother, Duane J. (Mini Cortez) Apana, Jr. of Oahu; sister, Jackie (Jason Camero) Apana of Hilo; 1 nephew and 3 nieces; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Celebration of his life will be held on September 8, 2012 at Lydgate Park at 10:30 am. Casual attire is requested.
