Due to the success of their recent gathering, a Kaua‘i Historical Society’s volunteer committee has already set the date for next year’s 5th Annual Victorian Tea. Held at the Kaua‘i Ranch early this month, the afternoon tea was attended by ladies of Kaua‘i and visitors to the island who donned period hats and vintage gowns for the occasion. Attendees were entertained by an accordion and saxophone player, spontaneous hula, operatic singing, carriage rides, a tea leaf reader and a special appearance by former Queen Emma, Hi‘ipoilani Kanahele. The next Kaua‘i Historical Society Victorian Tea is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 6, 2013.
