LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Youth Football program is hosting four teams from O‘ahu this Saturday and Sunday.
The Westside Warriors from Waiana‘e and the Kapolei Islanders will arrive with two teams each — a 7th and 8th grade team and a 4th through 6th grade team.
Four games are scheduled for Saturday at Vidinha Stadium with kickoffs starting at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
Two 7th and 8th grade games will be played Sunday at Hanapepe Stadium with kickoffs at 9 and 11 a.m.
Brad Hiranaka, the KYF commissioner, said since KYF does not have enough players to form an elementary (4th through 6th grade) team, the visiting teams will play each other with the KYF players who have been turning out for practice having an opportunity to play an exhibition game against the visitors.
