According to the release, the fire broke out around 9:30 p.m. and firefighters were alerted that a three-bedroom, single story home in the Pua Loke subdivision was ablaze.
The fire under control by 9:45 p.m. and fully extinguished by 11 p.m.
No other structures were reportedly threatened during the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.
The family who occupied the home is being assisted by the American Red Cross.
