Tiago Morgado, son of Kapa‘a High School football coach Keli‘i Morgado, was famous Saturday when Ron Wiley, the KQNG Radio Group on-air personality, stopped to interview the Warrior ball boy about the Krispy Kremes at the Grove Farm Community Swap Meet.
Tiago was part of the Island School Lego Robotics team doing a fundraiser and coach Keli‘i was helping between the phone calls.
Hats off to Marissa Sandblom (she kept finding more and more “new” stuff) on a great event with 60 vendors. Arthur Brun was doing his smoked meat and sausage until he had to go announce the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League Regional Championships at Vidinha Stadium (smoked meat and sausage for sale after the game).
KPD Officer Barry DeBlake was at the stadium since his brother coaches for the Mano‘a Paniolo JPW who ended up holding off Coach Kyle Linoz and the JPW Hanapepe Colts, and Billy DeCosta got to meet his friend Jerry Soriano who came down from Honolulu for the game.
