LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation named its Girl’s Volleyball All-Stars for the 2012 season. The all-star team was made up of seven players from two teams. The Waimea High School Menehune who finished with a perfect 12-0 record, claimed the most all-stars with a total of five. The Kaua‘i High School Red Raiders tallied the second most players with two and the Kapa‘a High School Warriors were left with no players on the final list.

With four of its five all-stars being juniors, the Menehune will be back in nearly full force next season. Waimea will have more experience under its belt and be the favrorite to defend its KIF title and look to advance further into the state tournament.
