KILAUEA — Forget to buy someone special a Christmas gift? Don’t wig out just yet.
The Craft Fair in Paradise is set for Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kaua‘i Mini Golf in Kilauea.
The event will include a wide variety of hand-crafted products — jewelry, clothing, paintings, photography and much more — from local artists, sculptors and crafters for all your late holiday shopping needs. Additionally, there will be local grinds, a Mini Farmers Market and live entertainment.
Tahitian drummers and dancers will kick off the event’s entertainment around 10 a.m., followed by hula dancers and Kaua‘i’s newest musical trio, The Torchmen.
The fair is free and open to the public, with approximately 45 vendors on site to satisfy all your post-Christmas needs, including keeping that holiday stomach full.
“It’s a great way for visitors to bring back a little piece of Kaua‘i with them, when they purchase from the local vendors,” organizer Bob Clemmons said.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Malama Pono Health Services, whose mission is to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS, STDs and infectious hepatitis on Kaua‘i through education and to serve those persons infected with or affected by these diseases.
In addition to hosting the “Craft Fair in Paradise,” Kaua‘i Mini Golf will be celebrating its two-year anniversary with free golf for everyone from 4 to 8 p.m. Free treats will be given away to commemorate the two-year mark for the growing Anaina Hou Community Park.
Kaua‘i Mini Golf is located at 5-2723 Kuhio Highway in Kilauea. For more information about the Craft Fair in Paradise contact Risa Clemmons at 652-0236.
