Officials report the first incident occurred sometime between 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. on Thursday at a storage facility located on Kekaha Road, across from the old Kekaha Sugar Mill.
It is reported that the thief cut through a pad lock and took 16 rolls of copper wiring, valued at $8,000.
Police were dispatched to Hanapepe Stadium where the suspect/suspects cut through a chain link fence and took approximately three rolls of copper wire valued at around $2,000 from a storage shed.
The incident occurred between 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
“Copper theft is a reoccurring problem, but stolen copper isn’t valuable if it can’t be sold,” Assistant Chief of the Investigative Services Bureau Roy Asher says in a news release.
“We want the public to be mindful in the event that anyone can provide information, but we’d also like to prevent future thefts from occurring.”
Anyone with information on these incidents is asked to contact Police Dispatch at 241-1711 or Det. Bryson Ponce at 241-1681.
