Patricia Yoshie Dela Cruz
Patricia Yoshie Dela Cruz of Eleele, Kauai, died on December 14, 2012 at home at the age of 73. Born on November 14, 1939 in Wahiawa, Kauai, she was a Senior Accountant Clerk with Olokele Sugar Co.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley Dela Cruz; sons, Blaine Dela Cruz of Eleele, Kylan Dela Cruz of Waimea, and Chad Dela Cruz of Honolulu; daughter, Toni Newkirk of Honolulu; brother, Benjamin Onzuka of New York; sisters, Thelma Onzuka of Honolulu and Shirley Onzuka Igarashi of Honolulu; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and numerous uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements were made by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Carolyn Cortez
Carolyn Cortez of Wailua Houselots, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on November 29, 2012 at her residence. Born on May 26, 1946 in Lihue, Kauai, she was a receiving clerk at Wal-Mart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Feliciano and Hilaria Pancho; son, Davis Cortez, Jr.; and grandson, Chavis Cortez Duclayon.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Davis Cortez, Sr. of Wailua Houselots; daughters, Carmelita “Mimi” Cortez of Oahu, Christina (Joey) Tice of Puhi; son, Daniel Cortez of Wailua Houselots; granddaughters, Braydee and Teigen Tice; four brothers, Frederick Pancho of Kalaheo, Andrew (Jerinda) Pancho of Alaska, Paul (Sharon) Pancho of Hanapepe, and Maurice (Belinda) Pancho of Waimea; four sisters, Linda (Arnold) Labuguen and Kathy Castelo of Oahu, Pamela (Wes) Peak of Kentucky and Donna Pancho of Kalaheo; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Memorial Services will be held at Kapaa Neighborhood Center on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.
Richard A. Stenstadvold
Richard A. Stenstadvold died peacefully in his home on December 19, 2012. The youngest of eleven brothers and sisters, he was born on July 5, 1934 in Florence, South Dakota. He was the President of the Guild for Structural Integration, a school dedicated to the teaching of Dr. Ida P. Rolf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jens Stenstadvold and Harmina “Minnie” Begeman Stenstadvold; and eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his life-long partners, Emmett Hutchins and Wayne Hackett and two sisters, Grace Eclov of South Dakota and Shirley Saunders of Minnesota. Richard was a mentor and friend to thousands around the world.
A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at a later date.
Isabel Adorable
Isabel “Bella” Adorable of Eleele, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Queens Medical Center, Oahu on December 21, 2012 at the age of 70. Born on January 18, 1942 in Eleele, Kauai, she was a retired librarian technician for Kauai Community College.
She was preceded in death by her father, Canuto Adorable; mother, Feliciana Boja Adorable; brother, Regino Adorable; sisters, Ceferina Adorable & Francisca Rosare.
She is survived by her sister, Aurelia “Lia” de la Cruz, Kauai, Eusebia Kline, Kentucky; brother, Andres Adorable, California; and numerous nieces & nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 19, 2012 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. with Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M.; burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

John Monette
John Joseph Monette of Koloa, Kauai passed away on December 27, 2012 at his residence in Koloa at the age of 70. Born on August 27, 1942 in Massachusetts, he was a retired flight engineer with the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arsene & Sophia Monette; and sister, Arlene Kawamura.
He is survived by his wife, Tsuyuko Monette, Koloa; son, Patrick Monette, Koloa; and 1 grandchild.
Celebration of Life will be held privately.
Richard Mission
Richard Senicio Mission Sr. of Makaweli, Kauai, died on December 27, 2012 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Born on May 21, 1930 in Makaweli, Kauai, he was a Tractor Operator with Gay & Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bartolome Mission and Lorenza Sakulit; sons-in-law, Faustino Patricio Jr. and August Carbullido; brother, Raymond Priego; and sisters, Fay Magbee, Anita Hunt, and Judy Ann Chang-Reis.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Mission; sons, Jeffrey (Toi) Mission of Hanapepe, Derwin Abalos of Lihue, Richard (Meina) Mission Jr. of Las Vegas, and Eldefonso Abalos Jr. of Cerritos CA; daughters, Betty Ann Carbullido of Moreno Valley, CA, Cynthia (Derek) Sone of Lihue, Theresa (Ken) DeLair of Waimea, Janean (Ray) Blouin of Eleele, and Cindy (Michael) Mission-Igne of Kaumakani; brother, Francis Mission Sr. of Makaweli; sisters, Priscilla (Domie) Ramos of Waimea, Hawaii and Dorothy (Arthur) Keale of Waimea, Kauai; thirty-two grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai. Visitation from 9am to 11am, service starts at 11am.
