Clyde Vito was going crazy with all the moisture being generated from the wind and rain. He had Alicia Palacio (older brother Brandon got to help at the scorer’s table) and Jullynn Ramos’ younger sister helping keep the floor dry along with Bruce Herbig of Kalaheo Elementary School.
Was good to see Steven and Karen Matsumoto (they’re helping with the game officials and scoring), and if it’s basketball, Tab Matsumoto was out officiating.
Hats off to Kaua‘i Community College Chancellor Helen Cox and her crew on hosting the University of Hawai‘i community forum on the first day of the spring semester — the cookies were really good. It was nice to run into Randall Francisco, Ed Nakaya, Dennis Esaki, and even governor’s liason Wanda Shibata made it to the event.
