KOLOA — Plans for a new shopping center located across from The Shops at Kukui‘ula will be presented to the community Thursday during the Koloa Community Association meeting at the Koloa Community Center starting at 6:30 p.m.
Labeled “The Island Country Market,” the center is being proposed by ABC Stores and include the main building, Island Country Market, covering 9,627 square feet, which will house a deli and market.
Two smaller shops measuring 1,250 square feet, a gas station of 1,168 square feet, and a restaurant of 3,253 square feet will complete the project.
Grant Sumile, the project architect, and Milton Arakawa, the project engineer from Wilson/Okamoto will present the plans for the project and will be available to answer questions from the community.
Leading up to the presentation, the Koloa Community Association will hold elections and a general membership meeting.
The meeting is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend and present its opinions on the proposed center as well as other community concerns.
