LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Police Department is requesting help from the public in locating a missing male visitor.
Ilya Nikolayevich Lomov, age 42, was last seen on Jan. 2. He has not returned home to California nor made contact with his family since.
Police learned that Lomov had applied for a camping permit for several campsites on the North Shore. His permit was valid from Dec. 29 through Jan. 3.
County officials wanted to also remind the public that camping permits are required in order to camp in a state or county park.
Lomov is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighs roughly 220 pounds. He is of Caucasian descent with a light tan complexion, has brown eyes, brown hair, and a heavy build.
Lomov is the third person to be reported missing on Kaua‘i in three days.
Police have since located the other man, Louis Landsman, who was reported missing Wednesday.
Izabela Kozak, a female from Kapa‘a who was also reported missing Wednesday, has not yet been located.
There is no evidence to indicate that any of the missing person cases are related.
Kozak, 32, has not made contact with her family since Nov. 16, 2012. They are concerned for her welfare.
Kozak is of Caucasian descent with a fair complexion, is 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighs roughly 110 pounds with a thin build, has brown eyes, and brown hair with dreadlocks.
