Herbert Hamura
Herbert Harumi Hamura of Lihue passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 10, 2013, at the age of 79. He was born in Lihue on May 31, 1933, and retired as the Circulation Manager at Garden Island Publishing and Hamura Saimin Factory.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Hamura of Lihue, Sons, Scott (Joanne) Hamura and Troy Hamura; daughter, Kerri (Tony) Bunao; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hamura family with arrangements.
Richard Itami
Richard Kazuo Itami of Corvallis, Oregon passed away on December 3, 2012 at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center at the age of 78. Born on February 6, 1934 in Kent, Washington, he was a retired pharmacist from KVMH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Itami; brother, Junior; and in 1992 son, Ricky.
He is survived by his wife, Merry of Corvallis; daughter, Ruth (Les) Omoto of Lihue, Patti McFadden of Oregon, and Margaret “Koko” Itami of Kalaheo; brother, Frank (Lucy) of California; sister, Margaret (David) Itami of California; and grandchildren, Kelii, Kainoa, Nicole, and Brennan.
Services were held on December 14, 2012 in Corvallis, Oregon.
