LIHU‘E —Golfers and sponsors for the 8th Annual Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association, Kaua‘i Chapter, are currently being accepted for the Jan. 26 tournament at the Kaua‘i Lagoons.
“We are excited to once again be able to have the proceeds going to the HLTA educational programs, scholarship funds and numerous other programs which are so valuable throughout the year,” said Chip Bahouth, co-chair of the golf tournament and general manager of the Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort. “This is our opportunity to give back to the community where we live and work.”
The tournament opens Jan. 26 with registration and a continental breakfast starting at 6 a.m. with a shotgun start scheduled for 7:30 a.m.
Entry fee to the tournament is $120 for a single player, or $480 for a team of four players, and includes greens fees and cart as well as the continental breakfast and lunch prepared by the Kaua‘i Community College culinary arts students.
Format for the tournament is a 4-Person scramble with a maximum handicap of 24 for men and 36 for women.
During the tournament, golfers have an opportunity to win prizes and participate in the silent auction, which will include hotel stays, golf certificates and dining certificates.
