HANAMA‘ULU – Kaua‘i County Department of Public Works is offering the public a bus tour of the proposed site for the new landfill and resource recovery park located about a mile north of Hanama‘ulu off Ma‘alo Road.
The tour is scheduled on Feb. 16 at 10 a.m.
If more than 40 people sign up, a 2 p.m. tour will also be offered.
The buses will leave the Lihu’e Civic Center, Pi‘ikoi Building promptly at the designated times. Participants will be required to sign a liability waiver prior to boarding the bus.
To sign up for the bus tour, contact the Solid Waste Division at 241-4837 or e-mail Allison Fraley at afraley@kauai.gov by Feb. 8.
For more information or to request special assistance or an auxiliary aid in order to participate in the tour, contact the Solid Waste Division at least five days prior to the tour.
