Albert Bettencourt of Kapaa, Kauai, died on December 31, 2012 at Home at the age of 91. Born on May 13, 1921 in Kapaa, Kauai, he was a retired mechanic with Hawaiian Fruit Packers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Bettencourt; and parents, Manuel & Helena Bettencourt.
He is survived by his son, Clinton (Rosalie) Bettencourt of Kapaa; daughters, Priscilla (Charles) Green of California, Puaala (Darvin) Akui of Kapaa, Bernadette Bettencourt of Kapaa, and Nalani (Nelson) Lingaton of Kapaa; brothers, George (Rosalie) Bettencourt of Hanamaulu, Harold (Betty) Bettencourt of California, and Billy Bettencourt of California; sisters, Carie Viella of Kapaa, and Marjorie (Enoch) Brown of Kapaa; ten grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, with visitation from 10 am, and Mass celebrated at 11 am; Private burial in a later date.
