PUHI — Gaylord’s Executive Chef Megan Handke whips up one scrumptious bowl of sweet potato chili soup. And for whatever reason, it tastes even better when served in one of Clayworks at Kilohana’s hand-made ceramic soup bowls.
For a donation, patrons to the Souper Bowl Sunday event Feb. 3 received both. All proceeds from the annual charitable event benefit the Lihu‘e Lutheran Church and its Mobile Munchies program, helping to feed the hungry around the island.
Clayworks is at 3-2087 Kaumuali‘i Highway in Puhi and open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Weekend and holiday hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
