The Papalina Division 3 boys are everywhere — Joey Sams was helping Grandpa Joe Vegas on Sunday at the 27th annual American Culinary Federation breakfast and later that day, Luke Hunadi was at Kukui‘ula with his family. Papalina next takes the court next Monday when they tangle with Team Central Silver at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Kudos to Leanne Kamekona, Guy Higa, Martina Hilldorfer and all those responsible for getting the ACF breakfast off the ground (how many gallons of Big Brudda coffee, Steve Davis of Kaua‘i Coffee?).
Kaua‘i Coffee’s Melissa Gregory had help from Daniel Momohara on the serving line, and Maureen Tabura (she got some rambutan for the Okinawa students to try) said some of the Okinawa Christian University students were helping on the serving line.
Clyde and Helena Kodani were host family (Art Umezu said they’re going to need host families for the Tachibana High School band, too) and made sure Michiho Kinjo and Meina Kuniyoshi got to enjoy the fun.
