Danny Leibovitz
Danny Leibovitz of Wailua, Kauai, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on February 6, 2013 at the age of 62. Born on May 29, 1950, in Israel, he was a chef, musician and hairstylist.
Proceeded in death by his parents, David and Bluma Leibovitz; and brother, Avi Leibovitz.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Romsdal; and brother, Uri (Ete) Leibovitz of London, England.
Burial was held on February 11, 2013 at Kauai Jewish Memorial Garden at Kalapaki Bay Memorial Park.
A celebration of his life is being planned.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Karen Clifford
Karen Ann Clifford, of Princeville, Kauai passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at the age of 70 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital.
Proceeded in death by her parents, Glenn and Ann Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, James Beryl “Bill” Clifford, sons, Marc and Mike Dahlquist; daughter, Amy Clifford Wamhoff, step-sons, James Scott, Robert “Bob” and Bradley Clifford; grandchildren, Jade, Joshua, Elizabeth, Zach, Mackenzie, Spencer, Abby and Ally; brothers, James Timothy and Glen Craig Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. Wai’oli Hui’ia Church in Hanalei with Pastor Alpha D. Goto Officiating.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Clifford family with arrangements.
Francisca Gasmen
Francisca Supnet Gasmen of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 19, 2013, at the age of 79. She was born in Ilocos Sur, Narvacan, Philippines on March 9, 1933 and retired from Kauai Sands as a laundry attendant.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Constante and Mario Gasmen.
She is survived by her husband, Eusebio Gasmen of Kapaa; seven children, Rogelio (Leonida) Gasmen, Rudy (Regina) Gasmen, Sammy (Vangie) Gasmen, Rizalde (Marilou) Gasmen, Evelyn (Ricky) Cunanan, all of Oahu; Lisa Gasmen of Hanamaulu, Kimo (Emily) Gasmen of the Philippines; 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Citas Fontanillia, Dominga Antonio, Caridad Contillo, all of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at St. Catherine church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Catherine Cemetery in Kealia.
