Randy Rieman of the Pioneer Mountain Ranch in Montana will be available for instruction for people interested in improving their individual horse handling skills.
Rieman, who has spent the past 30 years making a living on horseback from cow and calf operations and grazing association in Montana to stocker operations in Nevada and California, will be leading horse handling sessions on Feb. 22 and 23 at a Lawai arena.
He will also lead sessions on March 2 and 3 at the Princeville Ranch.
Rieman, who along with his wife Kim, started Pioneer Mountain Ranch for people seeking to improve their horse handling skills, also spent nine years starting hundreds of colts for the Parker Ranch on the Big Island.
Some of the programs offered by Rieman include basic horsemanship, colt starting, ranch roping, stock handling, and rawhide branding.
“He is very knowledgeable in horse handling, and we are very fortunate to have him visit us,” said Arna Parr. “In addition to the sessions, he will also be available for individual instruction.”
