Princeville
The inaugural Holiday Celebration Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Prince Clubhouse and The Tavern restaurant at 5-3900 Kuhio Highway in Princeville. The event is free and open to the public.
“We decided that it would be good to have an Easter egg hunt with all of this green area at the golf course,” said Melody James, the facility manager.
Families are encouraged to arrive prior to 9 a.m. to ensure their children start the hunt with three different age groups, 1 to 3, followed by 4 to 6, and 7 to 10. The event moves on to The Tavern by Roy Yamaguchi for cookies and punch, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
“We have about 750 eggs with prizes and we will also put some candy on the grass to make sure that everybody gets something,” James said.
If the weather isn’t agreeable, there will still be photos with the Easter Bunny inside the restaurant, she said. The event will wind up by 11 a.m. when The Tavern opens for lunch.

Anahola
For more than 20 years, an event billed as “the biggest little Easter Egg Hunt in Anahola” has brought as many as 100 children to search for more than 2,000 eggs. The annual holiday celebration is free and starts at 1 p.m. at Anahola Baptist Church, across from the Whalers General Store.
“We just want to be a blessing to the community,” said Church Youth Leader Jimmy Johnson. “This is a great time for kids in Anahola with free event, and it is pretty exciting to watch the kids run around the church yard looking for eggs.”
After the egg hunt, children can play games and sing fun songs and enjoy refreshments. There will also be prizes and wholesome fun for the whole family.
The live bunny petting zoo continues after a successful response to rabbits brought by a family to last year’s event.
Pastor Wayne Patton will share the story of Easter during a youth story time. He is described as a grandfatherly figure who is wonderful with the kids.
Anahola Baptist Church will hold its Easter Sunday Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on the North side of the Anahola River mouth, where it meets the ocean down Aliomanu Road.
