Kawena Warren may not have broken any KIF track records, but was very pleased with her personal best in the girls 100 meter hurdles from the KIF track championships Friday night.
She and her cheer sisters were up early for a 10 a.m. volleyball game at the Clem Gomes Gym to accomodate the Kapa‘a High School prom Saturday night.
Coach Jon Kobayashi stayed home to man the fort while Lois Keamoai went to Kapa‘a for the resumption of the rained-out baseball game.
Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. said he had a full schedule Saturday, starting with the Kaua‘i World Challenge, moving to the Mayor’s Track Meet for age group doing the MS Sunset Stroll, the Kalaheo School play and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Justin Kollar was busy helping the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i and said his office had a team with the Multiple Sclerosis Sunset Stroll as well.
OK, time to get ready for the Kodomo no Hi (Children’s Day), this Sunday at the Lihu‘e Hongwanji Preschool.
