OK, it’s official — the 34th annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk is on May 11, and people can register for the event. Hats off to Stephanie Kaluahine Reid and her hard-working committee on a great launch Wednesday at the Kaua‘i Marriott Resort and Beach Club.
Julie Arigo, the state Charity Walk coordinator and the general manager of an O‘ahu resort, was in town for the event and shared a great comment — “I feel just like a visitor!” Kudos to all the people in the visitor industry for getting her to say those comments — that means you’re doing a great job!
Hats off to Steve Yannarell and Chef Guy Higa on the great breakfast fixings. Question now is, what’s on the menu for May 11?
Kudos to coaches William Trugillo and Ramon Semblante and the Young Madrid soccer team on its Kirk Banks win last week. Douglas Gibson said he found soccer more exciting than golf, but we’ll see. Lauren Yama of the Hawai‘i Junior Golf was at Walmart and said we have the Junior World coming up at Wailua in June.
OK, time to go check out the orchids in Hanapepe.
