Dasha Dacosta spent her day off raising funds for Rhextyn Butay, the Kaua‘i ambassador baby for the March of Dimes.
Dasha said she’s a full-time employee with the Big Kmart as a cashier and a full-time student at the Kaua‘i Community College. Saturday was her day off so she could do the fundraising.
Richelle Rodrigues was fundraising with Malasadas on a Stick for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. They have about 16 students planning to camp at Hanapepe Stadium.
Hats off to the ASUH Kaua‘i, Nelson Batalion and John Constantino on a great Spring Festival! Nelson said they have the Earth Day event coming up later in April, too.

Kathy Kovala (she was hosting “Tropical Egg hibition” at Kukui Grove) said she’ll be at the Garden Island Orchid Society Orchid Show and Sale this weekend in Hanapepe. She’s been doing that event for at least 15 years.
