On Friday Kaua‘i Junior Varsity girls Anikka Cadavona, Sarah Matsunaga (she was running all over chasing down errant balls) and Michaela Licke were one team of ball girls, drying and getting the balls to the servers, and trying hard to keep the balls from rolling onto the court.
Kudos to Tommy Noyes and the Kamalani Playground volunteers on its annual Earth Day cleanup. John Lydgate was there with his pickup, and Angela Tillson (she’s got more films lined up) was busy distributing breadfruit trees for Earth Day at the cleanup.
Jiro and Jennie Yukimura was up early with the East Kaua‘i Y’s Men’s Club to register the more than hundred volunteers.
Happy Earth Day, Kaua‘i! Go visit Nelson Batalion and the Associated Students of the University of Hawai‘i at Kaua‘i Community College from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
