Thomas Noyes headed the first batch of divers trying to remove some of the organic matter at the bottom of Morgan’s Ponds, and among the volunteers, Jack Yatsko was doing his duty, too.
But the globetrotting didn’t stop there as Hiroko Nagayama and Naoko Okamoto of the Globe Trotter Travel Guide Book stopped off at the Kaua‘i Community Market to check out Moloa‘a Bay Coffee (Daphne McClure didn’t go to the Class of ‘66 reunion).
Skipper Cacayan (he was having a post-practice snack with Ernie Domingo and Peter Rayno at Walmart) didn’t do the reunion, either.
Kudos to Stella Burgess and all of the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i Resort and Spa staff for hosting Kumu Hula Olana and Howard Ai, 40 kumu hula from Japan and 450 hula dancers!
Haunani Kaui said a couple of them joined in hula during their Friday night at the Seaview Terrace.
