Kudos to Annie Godsill and her kindergarten class at Eleele Elementary School on doing such a great job cleaning Nancy Golden’s car Wednesday! The lesson in giving back definitely worked as the kids were all smiles (and not even wet)

The lesson in giving back definitely worked as the kids were all smiles (and not even wet) as they listened and worked hard in the hot sun.
Earlier, it was awards time for the school and Dean Nonaka, coach Pedro Saligumba, and even Pacific Missile Range Facility Crash Fire Assistant Chief Janice Kimata-Lopez were wearing smiles of joy and pride.
Congratulations to Pam Varma Brown on her “Kaua‘i Stories” making the finals in the 2013 National Indie Book Awards. Definitely well-deserved, and what she went through to get the book done is material for yet another book.
Donia Lily is going to be busy on June 21, 22 and 23. She does classical choral music at the St. Michael’s from 7 to 9 p.m., and then on the 23rd will be at the National Tropical Botanical Garden for the Women Artists of Kaua‘i 5th Annual Summer Fine Art Festival.
