Robert ‘Bobby’ K. Ho‘opi‘i
Robert “Bobby” K. Ho‘opi‘i, of Waimea, passed away on Nov. 28, 2024, in Waimea at the age of 77. He was born on April 22, 1947, in Lihue.
He was preceded in death by parents Samuel Ho‘opi‘i and Ophelia McCullen, brothers Bruce Ho‘opi‘i and Sam Ho‘opi‘i.
He is survived by his sons Joe Nunes of Lihue, Charles (May) Hepa of Hanamaulu, daughters Shannon (JD) Racoma of Kona, Wailana (Dee) Dasalia-Duarte of Kapaa, Shanna (Vernoy) Damas of Kona, Keiko (Justin) Ho‘opi‘i of Puhi, Misty (Duke) Kaiwi of Oregon, Priscilla (Bubba) Hepa of Wailua, Mandy (Kapua) Hepa of Nevada, 37 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, brother William McCullen of New York, sisters Dolores (Jimmy) Manley of Utah, Nora Contrades of Anahola, Ophelia Kanoa of Wailuku, Angie Ho‘opi‘i of Anahola, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Lydgate Beach Park main pavilion with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. and celebration of life from 11 a.m. Lunch to follow. The family requests aloha attire and flowers and leis are accepted.

Marjorie Murata
Marjorie Murata, of Lihue, passed away on March 29, 2025, at home at the age of 88. She was born on Dec. 19, 1936, in Hana, Maui.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Murata and son-in-law Neil Koch.
She is survived by her sons Darren (Dawn) Murata of Koloa, Jay (Corrine) Murata of Lihue, daughter Twila Koch of Des Moines, Iowa, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sisters Esther Tanaka of Oahu, Evelyn Kuromoto of Oahu, Edna Inayoshi of Oahu, numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Dominic Damon Rosa Sr.
Dominic Damon Rosa Sr., of Lihue, passed away on March 31, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on Sept. 11, 1963, in Placerville, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cecelia A. Gabriel and Joseph A. Rosa and stepfather Robert K. Gabriel.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Radloff-Rosa of Lihue, sons Chico (Nyleen) Olivas of Hanapepe, Lucas “Alika” (Tasha) Rosa of Lihue, Dominic (Cyndi) Rosa Jr. of Lihue, Christopher Rosa of Eleele, Tony Cooper of Lihue, Stanley Rosa of Lihue, daughters Wynona Rosa of Hanapepe, Gabrielle (Derick) Rosa of Hanapepe, Susan Rosa of Lihue, Mary Rosa of Lihue, 18 grandchildren, brothers Richard (Stacey) Rosa of Wailua, Paul (Kili) Gabriel of Honolulu, sister Melanie Rosa of Kekaha, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary. Visitation from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a celebration of life at noon. Lunch will follow at the main pavilion at Salt Pond Beach Park. The family suggests casual attire, and flowers and leis are welcome.

John Joseph Taylor Jr.
John Joseph Taylor Jr., of Koloa, passed away on March 30, 2025, at the age of 77. He was born on Sept. 2, 1947, in New York. He was a mason in the construction industry and a veteran of the Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Dora Taylor.
He is survived by his wife Nalani Taylor of Omao, son John Ben Taylor of Koloa, daughters Maile Taylor of Koloa, Kalena Taylor (Kelly Hunt) of Koloa, sister Dorothy Taylor of Austin, Texas, six grandchildren, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Prince Kuhio Park (PK’s), followed by a paddle out. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.
