LIHUE – The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will close both offices to accommodate employee training on Wednesday.
LIHUE – The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will close both offices to accommodate employee training on Wednesday.
Both the Kapaa and Lihue Satellite DMV offices will be closed and will resume operations on Thursday. Both DMVs, however, will only be accepting customers with appointments. Individuals with appointments can check in up to 15 minutes before their appointment but no later than five minutes after their appointment.
Regular weekday hours will resume on April 10 and will continue to provide motor vehicle transactions, utility payments, bus passes, and tipping coupons. Thus far, there are no driver’s license transactions at the Kapaa Satellite DMV.
Hours of operation for the DMV are Monday through Friday, except for state and federally observed holidays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. kupuna Hour is from 8 to 8:45 a.m., with appointment holders and walk-ins to follow.
Walk-ins are accepted until 2 p.m. All motor vehicles, driver’s licenses, and other acceptable transactions are accepted at the Lihue DMV. For further information or to book an appointment, visit www.kauai.gov/DMV
