KAPAA — The Zonta Club of Kauai, in partnership with the Kapaa Middle School, Hale ‘Opio, and the Hawaii Parent, Teacher, Student Association (PTSA) hosted a “Gals Roundup” service project on March 27.
The “Gals Roundup” was held for young women at Kapaa Middle School, grades 6 through 8, and the girls’ mothers or caregivers, and provided an opportunity for the girls and adults to bond.
Participants were treated to a day of activities that included painting temporary tattoos, line dancing, prize drawings, resources and local food.
The hands-on service project embodies the Zonta Club’s commitment to empowering women and girls in the community, and club members actively shared the organization’s mission — “Building a Better World with Women and Girls.”
