Saturday is also the Craft Fair component for the Grove Farm Market (haven’t heard what special event is being planned by the University of Hawaii Master Gardeners) that opens at 9:30 a.m. with High Vizion (their latest fashion offering is popping up everywhere), and Elena’s Gourmet Pretzels (she’ll be doing double duty at the Downtown Lihue Night Market that starts from 4 p.m. on Kress Street), and more.
Kudos to the automotive parts swap and car show people that attracted a wide variety of Volkswagen and classic cars … they even had trucks that parked outside the car show area, including a racer who’s participating in this weekend’s Garden Isle Racing Association drag races in Mana (finals start at 7 p.m. at the Kauai Raceway Park) …Sofinal Medeiros was helping dad Jason with the fancy vintage VW dashboard and a bunch of 3D laser artifacts (even gets down to the detail of rust on the parts), and kudos to the members of the Kauai Rangers 12 and Under all-star team (they’re from all over the island) who manned fishnets as a fundraiser for their trip to Cooperstown, New York, to play baseball from June 30 to past July 4th.
