LIHUE — Law enforcement netted six wanted individuals across the Garden Isle last week.
On March 19, officials with the Kauai Police Department KPD Lihue’s Field Operations Division conducted a warrant sweep operation, which resulted in the successful apprehension of six individuals wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
The following wanted suspects were arrested: Twenty-nine-year-old Christian Troy Kopps was arrested for Criminal Trespassing in the Second Degree, Theft in the Fourth Degree, Violation of Release on Bail Limit, and Criminal Contempt of Court.
Fifty-two-year-old Kalani Duke Duhaylongsod was arrested on two warrants for Criminal Contempt of Court and two for Violation of Release on Bail Limit.
Thirty-eight-year-old Tony Laan Lakabung was arrested for Revocation and Modification of Probation and Criminal Contempt of Court.
Thirty-eight-year-old Micah S.T. Otani was arrested for Revocation and Modification of Probation. Thirty-five-year-old Liana Leslie Lopes was arrested for Failure to appear, and sixty-year-old Gail Helen Singley was arrested for Violation of Release on Bail Limit.
KPD Assistant Chief Kalani Ke addressed the successful operation and stated, “Our top priority is the safety of our community. This operation allows us to take proactive steps to prevent further harm, protect victims, and ensure that individuals who have violated the law are held accountable for their actions.
“Addressing outstanding warrants is crucial in preventing crime from escalating,” said Ke.
These arrests of these wanted individuals are part of KPD’s ongoing efforts to address criminal activity and enhance public safety.
