Vicky’s was supposed to have Debbie Maddy and the Shibori workshops at the Kauai Society of Artists gallery, but the schedule was readjusted to have the workshops on April 5 — it’s the same day as the Kauai Office of Economic Development, Kauai Economic Development Board Earth Day at the Kauai Philippine Cultural Center, and the Hands Off! rally at the historic County Building … Larry Feinstein (you need to read his “My American Family” on the Mind and Motorcycle website www.mindandmotorcycle.com/economy-american-family) said he’s planning on doing both!

Toni said since the KSA gallery was already booked and the workshops are this weekend, she and the Vicky’s Fabrics crew turned the gallery space into Vicky’s Fabrics Super Secret Sudden Spring Sewing Session Pop-Up on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, where people could work on their UFO (un finished objects) projects while having the good company of other UFO Project people.
Mindi Agena-Renken had her Homestead Lei in collaboration with High Vizion at the Pop Swap, and said she’ll be part of the Makeke that’s going to happen on May 1-4, and May 8-11. That’s just in time for graduation — Kauai Community College has commencement on May 16, and when are the high school seniors walking? Her custom lei should be a hit, and for those who want to get a headstart, Homestead Lei orders can be done through Instagram … saves a lot of last-minute stress.
