According to a flier floating around town, Sunday is a good day for a Car Show and Parts Meet at Kukui Grove from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lot where the Pau Hana Market meets across from Da Warehouse.
According to a flier floating around town, Sunday is a good day for a Car Show and Parts Meet at Kukui Grove from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lot where the Pau Hana Market meets across from Da Warehouse.
The flier says there will be a live DJ, a scavenger hunt, people swapping and selling auto parts, and a Valve Cover Racer Contest …. It should be interesting to check out since Father’s Day is still a way off.
Melissa McFerrin Warrack of the Kukui Grove leadership team said the event (which includes stuff for people of all ages) is coordinated by Lori Ramos and Sheldon Peralta (he’s got the monthly Pop Swap on Saturday) of Bubbah’s Toy Box. Bubbah’s Toy Box will have his collectibles on hand. They’re even having people fly in from the neighboring islands.
Jerry Yankowitz and the Tax-Aide preparers will be waiting on Saturday to do free tax returns (the receptionists said you don’t need to be old to get your returns done). Following this weekend’s Kukui Grove stop, the tax preparers will be at the Hanapepe Public Library on Monday and the Lihue Neighborhood Center on Tuesday before wrapping up this year.
The keiki and high school rodeo folks will host a fundraising golf tournament on Saturday at the Puakea Golf Course. Who’s washing cars as a fundraiser?
Kapaa High School athletic trainer Samantha Henriques has a new pastime: harvesting daikon seeds between the innings at Kauai Interscholastic Federation baseball games. Sam said she hadn’t bought any daikon seeds for a couple of years. Now, how about mustard leaves? Does anyone have seed sharing?
