Bob Nicholas Vegas Sr.

Bob Nicholas Vegas Sr., of Lawai, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 68. He was born on Oct. 31, 1956, in Lihue, Kauai. He was a fuel truck driver for Kauai Petroleum.

He was preceded in death by parents Soloman Vegas and Jane Vegas and sister Catalina Counts.

He is survived by wife Angeline Vegas of Lawai, son Bob Vegas Jr. of Lawai, daughter Jessica (David) Gusman of Omao, brothers Joseph (Janet) Vegas of Lawai, Charles (Betty Ann) Vegas of Lawai, Vincent (Josephine) Vegas of Kalaheo, sister Candita (Alan) Vegas of Lihue, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation from noon to 2 p.m., followed by service at 2 p.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Garden Island Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia Ann Hunter-Williams

Patricia Ann Hunter-Williams, of Anahola, passed away on Nov. 5, 2024, at the age of 67. She was born in Gardena, California on March 26, 1957, and worked as a Language Arts teacher serving multiple Public Schools of Kauai.

She was preceded in passing by her parents William and Franque Hunter.

Patricia is survived by her husband Theodore “Teddy Boy” Williams Jr., children Tayton (Jackie) Williams of Anahola, Chantry (Kapena Cummings) Williams of Anahola, grandchildren Taelyn (Raiatea) Hale-Ajimine, Tayven “Kili” Williams, Taylee “Mehana” Williams, Ezra Cummings, Ezekiel Cummings and great-grandchild Tehya.

Services will be held at Anahola Village Park on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by services at 10:30 a.m.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Christine Seto

Christine Seto, of Waimea, passed away on March 9, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on Jan. 7, 1930, in Hana, Maui.

She is survived by her son Randy (Shandalyn “Shan”) Seto of Waimea, daughters Sharlene Morimoto of Waimea, Miriam (Henry) Albarado of Waimea, Lisa (Leighton) Muraoka of Eleele, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brother Herman (Lynette) L. Kaauamo of Wailua Nui, Maui, sisters Pauline Sinenci of Wailua Nui, Maui, Emily (Kamalana) Kalalau of Hana, Maui, Jeanette N. Kaauamo of Haiku, Maui, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private services were held. The family requests no koden (monetary gifts).

Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.

Sandra D. Ambrose

Sandra D. Ambrose, of Kalaheo, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on June 12, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois. She was a retired school bus driver in the Chicago area.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ken and Bonnie Schopp, sister Linda Mensching, brothers Bob Schopp and Steven Schopp.

She is survived by her husband Guy W. Ambrose of Chicago and Kalaheo, Kauai, sons Dale Ambrose of California, Bruce Ambrose of Arizona, daughters Valerie Rice of Wisconsin, Linda Cava of Keaau, Hawaii, Jenny DeYoung of Arizona, grandchildren Lisa Ambrose, Jeff Ambrose, Liz Todd, Shanna Ehrlich, Vanessa Barcia, Brittney Sanchez, Cole DeYoung, Callista Cava, great-grandchildren Carson Ehrlich, Nathan Ehrlich, Alyssa Ramos, Makenna Barcia, Harrison Barcia, Bentley Sanchez, Baylin Sanchez, Breckyn Sanchez, Banxtyn Sanchez, Bryx Sanchez, Bravnsyn Sanchez, brother Tim Schopp, sister Norma Jean Thomas of Georgia, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 2 p.m. The family requests aloha attire and welcomes flowers.
