The Elsie Wilcox Elementary School students had their turn last Friday, and the Waimea High School sophomores had their turn on Tuesday, so who’s going to “Find Your Future” on Friday at Kauai Community College (have you donated to the Hoolei Scholarship fund yet?)? And who’s going to Read Across America on Sunday at the Kukui Grove Center?

Florilegium (the Kauai Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the National Tropical Botanical Garden to host a Business Pau Hana on March 20 to celebrate the Florilegium art exhibit) comes to the Kauai Society of Artists Spring Show as artist J Luzney has pieces in the style of botanical illustration. The KSA show opens Friday (from noon) and runs through March 21.
Malia Nobrega has been busy, so the Olelo Hawaii event, Olu Ka’ I, comes to Kukui Grove on Saturday from 10 a.m. (Have you ever seen a Konane tournament?). Cultural practitioners like Bradford Kaeo and her leathercraft, Kenneth Bray and his wood carving mokopuna, the winners of the Friday night speech competition at the Kauai Community College, and a lot more will be there.

Free tax prep!” said a young person waiting at the Koloa Neighborhood Center, which debuted the service on Wednesday. Okay, we’re back at Hanapepe Public Library on Monday, the Lihue Neighborhood Center on Tuesday, the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on Wednesday, and the Kaumakani Neighborhood Center on Thursday. Every site starts at 9 a.m., first come, first served.
