LIHUE — Officials with the Kauai Police Department KPD reported the death of a man following a disorderly complaint at the Lihue Airport on Wednesday morning.
LIHUE — Officials with the Kauai Police Department KPD reported the death of a man following a disorderly complaint at the Lihue Airport on Wednesday morning.
Officials report that on Feb. 26, at approximately 4:30 a.m., KPD officers responded to a call from Airport Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) requesting assistance with a disorderly man.
Once on the scene, KPD officers observed a man who two Airport LEOs were detaining and an airline employee when they realized the man required immediate medical attention.
Officers immediately administered CPR on the man along with a dose of Naloxone, or Narcan, until the arrival of emergency medical personnel, who continued resuscitation efforts while transporting the man to the Wilcox Medical Center in Lihue, where he was pronounced dead.
KPD identified the man as 53-year-old Harley Morris, noted as not having a known address. The investigation remains ongoing, and an autopsy is currently pending to determine the cause of his death.
