Linnea Fayrene Lastimosa
Linnea Fayrene Lastimosa, of Koloa, passed away at her residence on Jan. 25, 2025, at the age of 63. She was born on Kauai on March 3, 1961. She was a retired landscaper for Paradise Bloom Landscaping.
Preceded in death by father Menelio Lastimoza, sister Lorena Nanod and brother Chad Lastimosa.
She is survived by mother Teodocia “Teo” Lastimoza, brothers Lorenzo “Larry” (Stephanie) Lastimoza, Benjamin “Benny” (Barbara) Lastimosa, Timothy “Timmy” Lastimosa, Melchoir (Vilma) Lastimosa, brother-in-law Lance Nanod, sisters Melissa (Tracy) Hedges, Meda Lastimosa, hanai sister Arlene (Adolfo) Carbonel Santana, God son Joey Allianic-Brun, nephews Jarrett Nanod, James DeCann, Kevin Hedges, Sean Hedges, niece Ashley (Craig) Miyazaki, six grandnephews and one grandniece.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Garden Island Mortuary from 9 to 11 a.m.

Ronald James Santiago
Ronald James Santiago, of Waimea, passed away at home on Dec. 26, 2024, at the age of 73. He was born on Jan. 8, 1951, in Lihue. He retired from the PMRF grounds department and was a veteran of the National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his wife Irwette Santiago, son Kimo‘okalani Santiago, father Angel Santiago Sr., mother Margaret Gomes, sisters Dora Hirokane, Sharon Santiago and grandparents Balbino and Catalina Costa.
He is survived by his son Irwin (Elise) Santiago of Lawai, daughter Ronette Santiago of Lihue, grandchildren Brayden Santiago, Brayanna (Parnell) Legaspi, Tori (Tania) Santiago, Kamu (Shanea) Santiago, great-grandchildren Neveah Santiago, Kiare Legaspi, Aleina Legaspi, Xhanea Santiago, brothers Angel (Lorita) Santiago Jr. of Kalaheo, Manuel (Valerie) Santiago of Kekaha, Chico Santiago of Honolulu, sister Matilda Inouye of Kekaha, numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life at 11 a.m. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Craig ‘Bobo’ Kiyoshi Iwase
Craig “Bobo” Kiyoshi Iwase, of Lawai, passed away on Jan. 15, 2025, at Straub Clinic & Hospital at the age of 52. He was born on May 18, 1972, in Waimea. He was a commercial fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Walter and Diane Chang and paternal grandparents Jack and Toyoko Iwase.
He is survived by his girlfriend Dejarene Chang Wo, sons Kaikea Iwase of Lawai, Kaimana Iwase of Lawai, Kaikane Iwase of Lawai, Jeremy Crawford-Iwase of Washington State, daughter Kaylee Branco-Iwase of Lawai, father Vernon Iwase and brother Dayton (Kylie Hookano) Nagao of Hanapepe.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at Kukuiula Boat Harbor starting at 1 p.m. The family requests casual attire.

Kathleen Donna Aban Asuncion
Kathleen Donna Aban Asuncion, of Wailua Homesteads, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Feb. 2, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on Jan. 15, 1943, in Kealia. She was a retired State of Hawaii Janitor at Kapaa Elementary School.
Kathleen was preceded in death by husband Alfredo Asuncion, Marcos Aban, parents Ceasar and Marie Augusto.
She is survived by sisters Susie Gusman, Theresa Augusto, brother Wayne Augusto, daughters Michelle Saia, Danette Madeira and son Stanford (Chantel) Aban.
Kathleen was blessed by 7 grandchildren Randy Teves-Aban, Ashley Teves-Aban, Andrew (Natasha) Saia, Tiane (Latu) Saia Lao, Stanford Aban Jr., Kala Madeira, Annie Rose Madeira, 4 great-grandchildren Kaya, Tuipulotu, Lii and Tosh Saia, stepchildren Wendell Okimoto, Jan Kaleimamahu, Wayne Augie Asuncion, Alfredo Kimo Escalante and Raymond Asuncion.
Kathleen embraced a simple life. Enjoying fishing, crocheting, lei making and gardening. Her favorite pass time during the weekends was finding treasures at garage sales.
Her faith in God was very strong. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever beliveth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 She was the Best Mom — She will be truly missed.
Celebration of her life will be held at the St. Catherine Catholic Church in Kapaa on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025. You may visit with the family at 9:30 a.m. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Casual attire suggested.
