For those going to the new Kauai High School gymnasium for the Kauai Interscholastic Federation boys basketball games (Waimea comes to Kauai High), the student program committee will be hosting the Wilcox Elementary School Performing Arts Academy (about 100 kids who were in the Lights on Rice parade) for a halftime performance under a program where Kauai High School wants to showcase talent from all of its feeder schools like King Kaumualii Elementary School.

Beside the return of high school sports following Winter Break, Olaf and Princesses Elsa and Anna will be at the Kukui Grove Movie Night that starts at 5 p.m. at the Kukui Grove food court area.
Tommy Noyes and Bikes on Rice return to Kalena Park (meet at 4:30 p.m.) for a “slow roll” around Lihue town before the Downtown Lihue Night Market (Lickety Louie who had a great holiday season will be there) starts at 5 p.m.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., coinciding with the start of the night market, the Muumuu Month folks will be doing a Muumuu Repair Drop-In at the Kaiaulu (formerly the Ulu Room, and Don’s Camera before that) RSBA co-working space … they’re also hosting a Historic Lihue Walking Tour (meet at the Kauai Museum front steps before 3 p.m.).
Finally, if you’ve been taking advantage of staying inside because of the winter storm, today is the monthly Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center donation event at the Kauai Resource Center from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. It’s a good chance to see David Chung and wish him a Happy New Year.
