LIHUE — Easter Seals of Hawaii client Jordan’s thrill at being provided a photo opportunity during Toddler Tuesday was obvious as she took a position next to Olaf the snowman of the “Frozen” film franchise fame.
“Jordan is one of Olaf’s biggest fans,” said the Easter Seals chaperone. “We take a small group from Easter Seals to participate in Toddler Tuesday on the first and third Tuesday of each month. The clients look forward to the opportunity to get out and have fun with the characters.”
Olaf, who worked with young children, and the Easter Seals group through a series of bouncing, jumping and working out during Toddler Tuesday, will be returning on Saturday when Showtime Characters takes the lead in hosting the monthly Kukui Grove Movie Night.
“A-R-A-N-D-E-L-L-E,” said Olaf. “A-N-N-A. You need to do more research on ‘Frozen’ by watching the movie.”
“Frozen 2,” produced in 2019, is the film that will be aired on Saturday during the Movie Night that runs from 5 to about 8:30 p.m. at the shopping center’s food court area where a special big screen will be set up for the film airing that starts at sundown.
Olaf will be joined by Princesses Elsa and Anna who will be available for photos (bring your smartphones) at a special backdrop setting of Arandelle Castle set up in a temporary space adjacent to Sone’s Delicatessen. Showtime Characters may have a table set up outside the room for balloon sculptures.
Food, snacks and refreshments are available for purchase from any of the Kukui Grove tenants near the film showing at the food court.
Toddler Tuesday takes place from 11 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
