Linda Akiko Kawakami, 95, of Kalaheo, Kauai, a retired dental assistant, passed away on Oct. 31, 2024.
Preceded in death by her husband Yoshito Kawakami, parents Sadao and Tsuru Konishi, brothers Tetsuo (Aileen) Konishi, Gary (Marjorie) Konishi, Donald Konishi, Yoshio Konishi, Michael Konishi, sisters Kimiyo (Haruo) Asai, Natsue (Waka) Iwamoto, Violet (George) Sato and Elaine (Yone) Kaneko.
She is survived by her daughter Lynell Kawakami, sons Jay (Val) Kawakami, Alvin Kawakami, grandchildren Michelle (Ross) Simafranca, Kymi (Darren) Sakai, Kelen Kawakami, Kyla (Michael) Callahan, great-grandchildren Kulani (Carlos) Narte, Makana Simafranca, Devin Sakai, Kamryn Sakai, sisters-in-law Mildred Konishi, Ruby Konishi, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services. No koden (monetary gifts).

Diann Mary Huddy
Diann Mary Huddy, of Kalaheo, passed away on Nov. 26, 2024, at home at the age of 79. She was born on Sept. 13, 1945, in New York. She was retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alexander William Huddy, son Alika William Huddy, parents Joseph Munks and Gloria Condon Munks.
She is survived by her son Kaina (Mele) Huddy of Kalaheo, daughter Leilani (Eddie) Huddy-O’Rourke of New York, daughter-in-law Tisha Huddy, grandchildren Stephanie Patricio-Huddy, Tiffany Patricio-Huddy, Alika Huddy Jr., Kayla Cachero-Ramos, Kawelo Huddy, Frank O’Rourke, Patrick O’Rourke, Alex O’Rourke, Lauren O’Rourke, great-grandchildren Sarah Alquiza, Jaxon Parongao, Kalawai’a Dela Cruz, Kia’i Dela Cruz, Evan O’Rourke, Grayson O’Rourke, Jayce O’Rourke, Colton O’Rourke, Ryder Maxson, brother Joseph Munks of New York and sister Gail Gallo of New York.
A service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at the Garden Island Mortuary in Lawai. Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a celebration of life from 11 a.m. to noon. The family requests casual attire and welcomes flowers.

Richard (Ricky) Kaeo Jr.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard (Ricky) Kaeo Jr., who passed away at Wilcox Medical Center on Nov. 29, 2024, at the age of 74.
Ricky was born in Lihue, Kauai, on Jan. 1, 1950. Ricky was a retired grounds maintenance worker at Kauai Lagoons Golf Course where he spent many years dedicated to his work. He was known for his kindness, hard work and love for the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents Richard T. Kaeo Sr. and Helen Kamehiro Anderson, half siblings Lorraine Hoeae and Harry Okahashi.
Ricky is survived by his sisters Linda (Joey) Silva, Cynthia McKnight, Debra Robertson, half siblings Arnold (Nito) Anderson, Brian Anderson, Terry Ihu, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
A private prayer service will be held at Immaculate Conception Church on Jan. 4, 2025, at 10 a.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at Niumalu Outrigger Canoe Club at Kalapaki.
Ricky will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
