Happy birthday, Joyce Arellano of Teachers Federal Credit Union (her birthday twin was out on an errand so missed out on the excitement) who said their big annual meeting is coming up in March. She celebrated her birthday on Monday with streamers and balloons around her teller’s station.

Kudos and congratulations to Bronson Pactanac and all his volunteers for coordinating the Kauai Dental Clinic that wrapped up on Monday after a good weekend that started Friday. Next up, Dr. Janie Yoo who was helping at the Kauai Dental Clinic, is hosting a free vision screening event that starts at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Kauai Eye Institute office which is located at the back entrance to the former Kukui Grove Cinema building. Dr. Yoo said Dr. Kaiea Iwasaki will be leading this effort where patients are able to get free eye examinations and access to some reasonably priced single-vision eyewear while supplies last.
Of course, today is Christmas so if you weren’t at either Poipu Beach Park or Kalapaki Beach, you missed out on Santa’s brief visit (he had to leave by 3:30 p.m. to make his global tour).
Elliott Lucas and the Kauai Film Academy announces the “Too Much Life” film screening as a fundraiser for the Kauai Film Academy on Saturday at the Kauai Community College Performing Arts Center starting at 6 :30 p.m. Tickets are available online at www.toomuchlife.com.
Merry Christmas, Kauai! Stay safe.
