Kilauea Kalikimaka (mahalo for the invitation, Gary Pacheco!) is just part of Kauai Kalikimaka and how the Garden Island celebrates the season, mele mele.

Kudos, Aunty Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza on the encore Holiday Hula presentation on Sunday at the Kukui Grove Center food court that just happened while checking on the Mele Makeke (Sheldon Peralta of Bubbah’s Toy Box said they even have Bumper Cars when the batteries are charged up).
Kudos also to the Island School elementary (Grades K-5) student council, and the Ukulele Class (upper grade students) on the tour of Wilcox Hospital to perform Christmas carols for the different departments and patients.
Wilcox Hospital is inviting everyone to come visit its annual Christmas tree display created by the different departments. This year, the judging falls on the people who come to view the creations … ballots are on a table near the central Employee Tree (every ornament has a picture of the hospital’s employees). And, if you allow enough time (the hospital closes at 8 p.m.), you can treat yourself to a healthy meal or snack from the cafeteria … hmm, when is the Roast Pork?
Edwin Vea (he was not helping Mailelani’s at the Kauai Museum Christmas Craft Fair, or the Holly Jolly Holiday Fair) said the Beach House Craft Fair takes place on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m … stop by the honey guy to find out more about the free dental days that’s going to happen around Dec. 20 or 21 in Lihue.
This Saturday is the all-day Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School Choir and Ukulele Band event that will feature a craft fair, car show and a performance by the CKMS Choir who did an impressive showing during the Kauai Hospice Memorial Candlelighting at the Immaculate Conception Church.
And, don’t forget the Kapaa Middle School PTSA event featuring the upcoming girls flag football season.
