Thousands brave afternoon rains for annual holidays welcoming event

Shout out to Hawaiian Telcom, Kauai Island Utility Cooperative, Service Rentals, Armory Kauai, Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Public Works, Council Services, Kauai Emergency Management Agency and the Kauai Fire Department for showing up on a moment’s notice to put up lights and help bring some holiday cheer to our community, said the Mayor’s Office.

LIHUE — Thousands of people braved Friday’s rains to welcome the holidays at the annual Rotary Club of Kauai Lights on Rice holiday lighted parade.
