Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School instructor Leslie Frasier (she also vends at The Beach House Craft Fair) said the CKMS Chorus is presenting its second annual Winter Festival on Dec. 14 at the school located across the Hokulei Shopping Village. The day-long event features a craft fair (interested vendors can call Linda Victor at 808-241-3200 for more information on participating) that runs from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a car show will be presented (remember the Kauai Classic Cars from the Holiday Fun Fair and the launch of the Holiday Light Show at Kukui Grove?), and from 11 a.m. until closing, food vendors will be open for the public.
Cruz Control takes the stage from 3:30 p.m. followed by the CKMS Chorus (kudos on a superb performance at the Kauai Hospice candlelighting memorial at Immaculate Conception Church!) presents its Winter Concert starting a 5 p.m.
Kudos to Reps. Luke Evslin, Dee Morikawa, and Nadine Nakamura on hosting the legislators’ town hall meeting at the Kauai Philippine Cultural Center on Tuesday where new Kauai County Councilmember Fern Anuenue Holland got a taste of public service by listening to the range of topics brought up by the audience of about a hundred people, including Mayor Derek S.K. Kawakami, and Councilmembers Bernard Carvalho and Dr. Addison Bulosan.
OK, time for the Lights on Rice holiday light parade!
